2007-2008 Season
THE GREAT AMERICAN CHEESE SANDWICH by Burton Cohen + WASP by Steve Martin
The Necessary Theatre continues its 17th season at the Kentucky Center's MeX Theatre with a production of 2 one-act plays: Burton Cohen's THE GREAT AMERICAN CHEESE SANDWICH and Steve Martin's WASP.
In THE GREAT AMERICAN CHEESE SANDWICH, Ma, Pa, Betsy, and Tom are on the farm alright, but it's like a farmscape designed by Andy Warhol. A joyous, zany satire which explores our most cherished All-American "virtues."
WASP depicts another family, this one struggling hilariously and often poignantly against an off-kilter suburbia in an effort to cope with the blandness of their own existence. And with lawn jockeys.
Both plays will be directed by Necessary Theatre veteran, Gil D. Reyes.
